It’s always worth spending an extra few bucks to make sure your custom suits fit right. You don’t want the back of your suit to drag along the floor, or for your sleeves to be a bit tight against your arms. A good wedding suit will have been made specifically for you and your body type, so it will feel like it was made just for you.
The suit should fit well in the shoulders and chest. This is essential because if your shoulders are too big, then your jacket will show even when buttoned up. And if your chest is too big then everything will look baggy on top of looking baggy already. In addition, tight sleeves can cause chafing or skin irritation during the long day of dancing and photo ops.

It might be tempting to spring for a flashy colored tuxedo or a stylish patterned suit that would look great on the big day. Resist that temptation! You don’t want your suit to look like you’re in the midst of a growth spurt. You want it to fit well, but not too well that you’re self-conscious all day. The best wedding suits are slim fitting, with a nice modern cut that accents your good features and makes you look as good as possible.
Most importantly, remember that your wedding suit is only one aspect of the whole look. Make sure that everything else fits well too, from your shoes to underwear. If a suit looks good on you in person but not in pictures, then it just isn’t worth buying!
